The Situation Smith Micro Software, Inc. is a leading developer and marketer of wireless and broadband communications, PC utility and diagnostic, and eCommerce software products and services. Smith Micro's strategy is to broaden the company's product footprint and allow expansion into other high growth wireless connectivity and security sectors. For this reason, Smith Micro Software Inc. has decided to expand their Program Management team and employ a Senior Program Manager for its Connectivity and Security business unit. This individual is to be located at the Smith Micro offices in Chicago, Illinois. The Position The Senior Program Manager will report directly to the lead executive of the Program Management team in the Connectivity and Security (CSG) business unit, the largest and most profitable of Smith Micro's P&L entities. This position is accountable for all product work plans for the CSG Tier 1 customers and master program plans for all customer engagements. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have an impressive track record within the telecommunications industry, with demonstrated program management and project management competence as to product development of software products for that industry. Further, the abilities to effectively deploy that resource base across multiple programs in a cost-effective manner, and to pursue a continuous improvement approach to program management will provide this person with the opportunity to be successful in this role. The Compensation The successful candidate will enjoy a very competitive cash compensation package, comprised of both a base salary and annual incentive compensation plan. As well, he or she will be eligible to participate in the Company's Restricted Stock Program. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits program, including a very competitive healthcare plan, and a 401(k) plan with a company match. |
