The Situation

PaperlinX North America is a multidimensional fine paper merchant and distributor serving a variety of printers and end users of paper and graphic supplies throughout the continent. Together with its Australian parent, PaperlinX North America is now part of a global merchanting network that is the largest exclusive fine paper distribution company in the world.

The CIO is currently on a crusade toward modernizing the entire North American IT function. Several of the key IT employees have been with the company for more than 20 years and are currently scheduled to retire. The CIO's strategy, combined with employee retirements, is creating opportunities to join a new, sleek and highly efficient North American IT group.

PaperlinX has two positions open for Help Desk Specialists - one located in Santa Fe Springs, California and one located in Toronto, Canada.

The Position

The Help Desk specialists will provide first-line support to all the users in North America. Their role is to assist the user base and understand and communicate the areas for improvement within the IT department. This includes efficiently resolving minor problems for the users, identifying major problems or areas of improvement, and supporting the roll-outs from other parts of the Organization.
